News from the Wine Shop:

We are always looking for wines that are in balance, speak of their terroir and offer a great price ratio.  There have been several bargains that we have added to the floor stacks and we want you to know that there are deals to be had.  Some are larger quantities that will continue to be available but many are limited to what we have on hand.  We found great wines under $15.00 – whites and reds from the South of France, Spain, and Italy and South America.

From California we have found new and great pricing in the $25.00 to $40.00 range of wines that are truly unique.  Sauvignon Blancs from Chile continue to lead the pack in quality and price but we found a wonderful Sileni Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand that competes on price and maybe goes a step or two further on quality.

Just in from France is a stellar red from Feraud Brunel, Cotes du Rhone Villages 2007 for $17.99.  This wine has received numerous high scores from various wine writers and we think it is so delicious and it will also cellar well.  We have only 10 cases available and urge you not to miss this one.

Besides our municipal water source, which is strictly regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a huge variety of bottled waters is available to consumers.  Many come from far-away places you can only dream of going to. Forbes Traveler said, “Bottled water is the next wine ..and like wine, water has terroir – a sense of place. ”

You can choose spring water, purified water or mineral water. Would you like sparkling or still? The packaging for all these choices might be inexpensive plastic or a frosty glass bottle decorated with Swarovski crystals, like the one shown above. Read on to learn more ..
